Among these 5, who are you?

WHEN it comes to managing money, there are five kinds of people in this world. Who are you?

#1: Gloria Gastadora:

Gloria Gastadora lives on the 100% of her income. Sometimes when she borrows money, she lives on the 120% of her income. She’s never absent during midnight sales. Her credit cards are faded because of overuse. Even if she wants to give to God or invest in her future, she cannot. Obviously, after all she spent, she has nothing to give expect ofr her loose change. In Church, Gloria Gastadora isn’t a tither, but a tipper.

#2: Kunat Kuripot

Kunat is a frugal and fearful fellow. He lives on the 80% of his income, because he saves 20% or more for his future. He lives in fear. He feels safe only when he knows he’s got lots of money in the bank. It really seems safe, except that he doesn’t know that putting his life savings in the bank isn’t such a wise idea at all. When he retires, Kunat will realize that his savings isn’t enough. And like Gloria Gastadora, Kunat Kuripot can only give his spare change to God – because he is always afraid of the future.

#3: Bertong Bulag

As a kid, Berto was financial whiz. Upon graduating from college, he already opened a mutual fund. He also started investing in a blue chip company in the stock market, putting small amounts of money each month. He also started a business, and it has done well. Berto has become wealthy. The problem is still he cannot give to God because he sees it as an expense, like it was a luxury he cannot afford. He doesn’t realized that giving to God is also an investment – the most secure and long-term investment of them all.

#4: Wally Waldas:

Wally has no problem giving to others. He is generous to others, but he isn’t generous to himself. Because he doesn’t invest for her future. Wally just likes giving his money way to people who end up abusing him. His close friends tell him that his giving is no longer helping others, because they have become parasites. But he’s blinded by his needs for their attention. Wally, in the long run, cannot even give to God, because his money will be long gone.

#5: Manny Mapagmahal

Manny gives to God, gives to others, and gives to himself. After receiving his income, the first thing he does is set aside 10% to God. The second thing he does is to set aside 20% to put in investment vehicles – such as mutual funds, stocks, businesses, and real estate. He also has set aside an emergency fund – three to six months of his salary in the bank. The third thing he does is to limit his expenses to 70% of his income.

Today, Manny is prosperous. He now gives 20% to God, invests 30%, and lives on 50% of his income. In his old age, he’ll continue to be even more generous.

Among these five people, who are you?

May your dreams come true!

WITH EYES BUT CANNOT SEE

Here is a nice story I got from the Net. It’s credited to anonymity but nevertheless, very important for me to share so read the words closely.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I will marry you."

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears, and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."

The sacrifice has been made but the gratitude was never there.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
I have gone through this and so have you. How easy it is for people to forget. The sacrifices, the friendship, the love, the moments of help you have extended yet today, not only were they forgotten, the very people you have helped and loved have turned against you, hate you and even do their best to destroy you. Such is the state of the sinful heart. This is why Scriptures warn us against our own hearts. That the heart is hopelessly wicked and is bent towards plotting evil.
Just think about this. God has always been good yet people refuse to accept Him and continue to live a life that defies His Will and His Ways. All of us are ungrateful people and only by the Grace and Mercies of God are we delivered from ourselves. The moment one turns to Christ, God replaces the stony heart with a tender one and puts the indwelling Spirit and sets up residence in the life of the person. And this is the only way why and how people can truly change into a brand new life.

Do not be ungrateful.

Today, before you say an unkind word, Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food, Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife, Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion. Today, before you complain about life, Think of someone who died too early on this earth. Before you complain about your children, Think of someone who desires children but they're barren. Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep, Think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive, Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job, Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another, Remember that not one of us is without sin. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around. And you can still put yourself in the loving mercies of the Savior.

Today may just be your day.

See Anything As A Blessing

One day, a man who was stranded in an island.

He decided to protect himself from the burning hot sun. For many days, he built a grass hut.

But on the day he was to sleep in it, a lightning hit the roof, starting a fire. He hurried to put it out, but it was no use. Everything burned down.

He was devastated. He clenched his fist towards the heavens and screamed, “God, how could you do this to me?”

When he woke up the next day, a ship was going to the island. He was being rescued! He jumped up for joy.

When the ship landed on the shore, the man asked his rescuers, “How did you know I was here?”

The men said, “We saw your smoke signal last night.”

Friend, what is your grass hut?

What has been taken away from you?

What has been destroyed and lost forever?

Is it a relationship?

Is it a job opportunity?

Is it a dream gone bad?

Don’t fear. Don’t give up.

God is teaching you a lesson of victory.

Through your loss, your failure, your trial, God is rescuing you. God is saving you. God is bringing you to a better place.

What To Do With Your Past, Present And Future

YOUR PAST

What can you do about your past? Well, just like the word suggests it, it is the past, so there is nothing you can do about it unless one thing, to learn from it.

Yes, there is nothing you can do about your past. You cannot change what has already happened, what you can do is just to learn from your past and gain better experience.

Many people fail to do this and often times, they will linger in their past.

It is just like if you fall from the bicycle badly because you try to do some stunts, I bet you will never do it again in the future. If you tried some food before and you hate the taste, most likely you will
never want to try it again in the future.

This is how your past works. It serves as the library for your experience. Thus, what you can do is to store good experience so that you will learn and improve along the way.

If you linger in your past, you will block yourself with your own thinking. Think about it, if you failed at something before and you don’t dare to do it again because of the fear of failure, you are
actually stopping yourself with your own thoughts.

YOUR PRESENT

This is the most important phase. Whatever you do right now will determine your future. You have the choice of doing what you want and you must learn to make good use of the power of making choices.

If you feel that this article is boring for you, you can stop and just get away, or you can choose to stay on and read. It is your choice. However, what you do right now will influence on your future,
either huge or small influence.

Just like if you spend 30 minutes everyday into reading self-improvement books, after 3 years, you will have read tons of books. And do you think that this has something to do with your future?

The answer is obvious. Therefore, you must learn to make the right choice and take action right now to produce the future that you want.

Unfortunately, most people will put things off and procrastinate. Even they know what they have to do, but they just don’t do it.

You know you have to stop eating junk food, but you did it anyway.

You know you need to exercise everyday to keep a healthy lifestyle, but you did not do it.

You know you have to read and improve yourself everyday, but you are not doing it.

You know you need to train your dog, but you procrastinate and now the dog is out of your control.

Can you see it right now? It is all about making choices and taking action. What you do right now will give you some effect to your future.

If you are not properly managing your present, you will never produce the future you want. And when the time comes; your future will become a bad past for you.

So always remember, it is what you do right now that will determine your future.

YOUR FUTURE

This is where it all begins. It is the kind of future you dream about and think about that will shape your destiny. If you have big dreams, you will get inspired by them and take more productive actions in the present.

On the other hand, if you keep on thinking and focusing on what you do not want, you will produce more of the results that you do not desire.

It is what you think about that will shape what you are going to do in your present.

This is why you need to have a vision. Every successful people have a vision. They know it clearly what they want to accomplish in their lives and they can see it in their mind.

This means, they know the kind of future that they want. So do you know what you want to accomplish in the future?

If you don’t, chances are, you will produce vague results and live an average lives just like others. I’m not saying that living an average life is something bad, it all depends on what you really want
from your life.

If you think that life is short and you deserve a better life, then you will need to focus and dream about something better. If you think that living an average life is all you want, then just go for it.

What kind of thoughts you have in your mind will lead you to where you think about.

So now you know what to do with your past, present and your future. I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes by Donald Trump, “My policy is to learn from the past, focus on the present, and dream about the future.

The Story Of A Champion

When Marion Luna Brem was thirty years old, she was diagnosed to have cervical and breast cancer. She had her cervix removed. And then her breasts.

And then the very painful chemotherapy.

Even with the chemo, doctors gave her only two to five years to live.

That wasn’t all. She had other problems.

First, while taking her chemo, her marriage ended. Cancer had taken its toll not only on her body but on her marriage. Her husband divorced her.

Second, she was in a financial hole. She owed $500,000 in medical bills.

Third, she had no job. She was a housewife most of her life. How could she now feed her two boys?

One day, she was having a really bad day with the chemo. She was mostly on her knees, kneeling on her bathroom tiles, hugging the toilet bowl. She was vomiting the entire day. She felt absolutely awful.

Meanwhile, she could hear her two kids making a lot of noise in the kitchen. And then she smelled something burning.

Her two kids entered the bathroom, holding a pan of macaroni and cheese. “Don’t worry Mom,” the oldest said, “only the bottom is burned. We can still eat the top part.”

Right at that moment, something clicked in Marion’s heart. She knew that dying wasn’t an option. She grabbed a powerful belief in her heart. She believed she must not die. She cannot! And she pulled herself from the floor.

That was a defining moment for her.

Though still weak, she put a cheap wig (because she was bald) and a prosthesis on her bra, and went out to apply for a job.

She knocked on a car dealership and applied to sell cars. She literally begged for a job, explaining her situation to the man.

She couldn’t even enter the dealership. She was told to go away.

After two weeks, and after 16 rejections, she was inside her car, crying. She was losing hope.

But she held on to her belief.

This wasn’t the end of her story. She wasn’t going to end it this way!

And she got out and tried one more time.

And that was when she changed her strategy. “I won’t tell them that I need a job,” she said, “I’ll tell them that they need me!”

She knocked on the door of one more car dealership and said, “I can do something for your company. I can sell your cars!”—and she was accepted on the spot.

Once upon a time, a doctor gave her only 2 to 5 years to live.

Today, she’s is strong and healthy—twenty-five years later!

Once upon a time, she was not only penniless, she was buried in a mountain of debt.

Today, Marion has built a business empire with revenues of $45 Million a year. And a part of this empire is her very own car dealership!

Nothing Is Impossible!

Marion was a 30-year old jobless housewife, stricken with cancer, divorced by her husband, and in debt. Yet today, she’s a multi-millionaire running many companies.

Friend, there is hope for you.

You don’t have to be poor.

You don’t have to be buried in debt.

You don’t have to suffer financial struggles.

You can be financially free.

How?

Change your beliefs.

Prosper your mind so you can prosper your money.

May your dreams come true,

WHAT IS YOUR DAILY LIFE PURPOSE?

You wake up. You go to work or perhaps to school. You come back home. You watch TV. You go to sleep. And it just keeps going day after day after day.

There must be more to life than this, right?

Growing up, I spent a lot of time thinking my daily life purpose. But as time goes by, I realize that my daily life purpose is to care people, serve people, help people as much as I can and I believe those are the reasons for everything I do.

I feel this warm feeling when I’m able to help someone else. With this, I feel it brings tremendous value about me which cannot be stamped with a price tag.

Until you discover the purpose of your life, you are living a life of mediocrity. Look deep inside you, realize that what is your life’s purpose and your meaning of life.

Just like the ants in a colony that work together. They all know their roles and nobody steps on each other toes. This is what we should aim for as a human being. We need to work together instead of against each other.

So many people think it’s complicated. No it’s not. In fact, all you have to do is ask yourself, WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU REALLY LOVE TO DO?

This is one of the best thing we could do to start 2010...

GOODLUCK!!!

Live a remarkable life,
